Tax Commissioner's Message

Welcome and thank you for visiting the Henry County Tax Commissioner's website.

This office is responsible for the accurate, efficient collection and distribution of taxes due to Henry County Government, the Henry County School System, local municipalities, the Water Authority, and the State of Georgia, in a timely manner and in accordance with all applicable state and local laws.

The successful collection and distribution of the taxes help to ensure that our schools and county services such as Public Safety and Infrastructure maintenance, have the necessary resources to provide our residents with the highest levels of service possible. This office remains committed to carrying out this duty in a manner that is fair, compassionate, and focused on customer service.

To deal with the new challenges brought on in 2020, and in keeping with our commitment to provide the highest levels of customer service, we have made some operational upgrades to help us to better meet the growing needs of our community. Most notably, we continue to enhance our On-Line features to allow residents to complete many of the more common transactions from the comfort of their homes. We have also increased our staffing levels to better serve our growing population.
